Full, dark fruit with jammy aromas and a Merlot style mid palate are showcased in this semi-sweet blend.
Door County twist on a mimosa makes for a perfect blend. We add fresh pressed Door County tart cherries to a stainless steel aged cider for an easy drinking, lightly carbonated drink.
Sweet Apple wine heavily spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg. Serve this sweet, mulled wine warm for a sassy cider substitute.
This place is amazing! Huge tasting areas (wines, fudge, olive oil!) on multiple levels. We got in right when they opened and had it mostly to ourselves which was wonderful especially during the tastings! The ice wine was a favorite. Walked out with many wines and a few olive oils, plus a few impulse buys!
Door Peninsula Winery is a great winery experience. A must stop while in Door County.
They have a large selection of wines, we always buy some of their Sweet Cherry wine to take back home to friends. They also have a large assortment of sauces, dips, cherry products, mustards, and cheese available to sample.
And ” Bless Their Heart ” they are not charging for wine tasting. That is one reason I continue to buy from these folks.
We’ve passed Door Peninsula Winery many times but never stopped because it didn’t look particularly interesting from the outside. I had a glass of their Mead over the weekend while in Door County and was so impressed that we decided to track down a bottle to take home with us. As plain as the building appears on the outside, the inside is fascinating. There’s a waterfall coming down from the second story, a large area for their wines including a sampling bar, another bar area where their spirits are sold, a lounge, and the distillery area. It offers much more than I expected.
